Standing with Letícia: stage 2 breast cancer treatment costs
6 rounds of treatment are planned at Juiz de Fora University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Letícia was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August. The oncology team at Juiz de Fora University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Letícia is 41, worked as a primary school teacher until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Juiz de Fora University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,750
• Scans and lab work: $370
• Transport to Juiz de Fora University Hospital: $280
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $230
• Household costs while unable to work: $370
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Hope things get better soon, Priscila. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update.
