Calamba
Jomar was diagnosed with stomach cancer in May. The oncology team at Calamba Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Jomar is 34, worked as a taxi driver until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Calamba Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $2,100 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,450 • Scans and lab work: $160 • Transport to Calamba Regional Medical Center: $120 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $100 • Household costs while unable to work: $270 I hope life is good to you. - Joyce

          • You're not alone. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 15 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Calamba.
