Standing with Irene: kidney cancer treatment costs

Irene was diagnosed with kidney cancer in June. The oncology team at Dodoma Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Irene is 38, worked as a bus conductor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Dodoma Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
