Gökhan was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in April. The oncology team at Istanbul Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Gökhan is 56, worked as a farmer until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Istanbul Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Scans and lab work: $310
• Transport to Istanbul Cancer Centre: $110
• Household costs while unable to work: $350
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $130
