Federica was diagnosed with colon cancer in November. The oncology team at the Latina Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in February. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Federica is 29, worked as a bakery worker until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Latina Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
