Ann Arbor
Easton was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August. The oncology team at the Ann Arbor Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Easton is 54, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Ann Arbor Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $12,350 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,000 • Scans and lab work: $1,600 • Transport to the Ann Arbor Oncology Institute: $890 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $820 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,040 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  1. Small update. $2,842 so far, I met with the treatment center and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($2,977 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
