Dewi was diagnosed with stomach cancer in April. The oncology team at Jakarta Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Dewi is 27, worked as a taxi driver until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Jakarta Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,550 goes: • Scans and lab work: $140 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,100 • Household costs while unable to work: $180 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $130 I hope life is good to you.
