Standing with Can: stomach cancer treatment costs
Can is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Can was diagnosed with stomach cancer in April. The oncology team at Bornova Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Can is 32, worked as a bank teller until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bornova Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,900
• Scans and lab work: $460
• Transport to Bornova Cancer Centre: $280
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $130
• Household costs while unable to work: $630
