Serenity's kidney cancer treatment fund

Serenity is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Serenity was diagnosed with kidney cancer in January. The oncology team at the Fort Worth Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Serenity is 31, worked as a hairdresser until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Fort Worth Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $7,000 goes: • Transport to the Fort Worth Oncology Institute: $710 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,150 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,140 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Easton
