Septoplasty for Stavros: covering what insurance won't
After endometriosis requiring surgery, Stavros was cleared for septoplasty, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Stavros was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in November. The surgeon at Athens Orthopedic Institute recommended septoplasty, and He is scheduled for February. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,050, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $2,150 short.
my son has been in and out of Athens Orthopedic Institute since November. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,050 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Stavros struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Stavros won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,700
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $210
• Travel and lodging for the family: $155
• Post-operative medication: $85
With deep gratitude,
Ioanna

Sending strength. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My neighbor in Riverside donated after I showed her your page. God bless.
