Save Poppy: Ashok can't afford the emergency vet
A German shepherd named Poppy needs emergency surgery - a $250 bill the family can't cover.
🇮🇳 India351 views
Poppy is my German shepherd of two years. On 7 September we rushed to Bengaluru Veterinary Centre with pyometra. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $250.
They have stabilized Poppy, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Poppy is more than a pet - Poppy is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $60 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Bengaluru Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $250 goes:
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $45
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $40
• Emergency surgery: $165
With deep gratitude,
Ashok

Best of luck, Ashok. Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Sending strength. Hope the recovery goes smoothly. Greetings from Cincinnati
Thanks for sharing this. Give Poppy a hug from me. After 21 years in logistics I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Love from Obuasi.
So sorry you're going through this, Ashok. Poor Poppy, hope they feel better soon. Blessings.
