Salma's non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment fund
Salma is facing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇧🇩 Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, Bangladesh346 views
Salma was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in July. The oncology team at Cox's Bazar Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Salma is 24, worked as a shop owner until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Cox's Bazar Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $870
• Transport to Cox's Bazar Regional Medical Center: $110
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $45
• Household costs while unable to work: $175
I hope life is good to you.
