Rome wildfire relief - the families of Sunrise Lane
The wildfire damaged 64 homes in the families of Sunrise Lane. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The wildfire hit the families of Sunrise Lane on 11 March. My home was one of 64 damaged, and 5 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $4,350 goes:
• Clean water and purification supplies: $740
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $910
• Food parcels for displaced families: $990
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,710
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Sending love. Shared it with a few friends. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Arlington
great idea, hope you get there. Thinking of Rome.
You're not alone. Looking forward to the next update. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Thinking of you and your family, Simona. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best
Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Rome.
