Makati
Rey was diagnosed with kidney cancer in May. The oncology team at Makati Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Rey is 33, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Makati Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,750 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $940 • Scans and lab work: $185 • Transport to Makati Regional Medical Center: $130 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $130 • Household costs while unable to work: $365 Thanks for being kind about this. - Trisha
