Rebuilding after the fire in the settlement: the Marketplace district needs your help
Neighbors in the Marketplace district are rebuilding after the fire in the settlement; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The fire in the settlement hit the Marketplace district on 22 March. My home was one of 73 damaged, and 2 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $370
• Clean water and purification supplies: $135
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $80
• Food parcels for displaced families: $340
• Tools and labor for repairs: $325
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
