Plant 4,500 native trees around the Harmony wetland in Ankara
Help us clean and replant the Harmony wetland before the October planting window closes.
🇹🇷 Türkiye1,059 views
The Harmony wetland has been used as an informal dump for years. This August, 91 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 56 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the local forestry office, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $600 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $360
• Tools and protective gear: $95
• Waste removal and skip hire: $90
• Signage and educational materials: $55
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

you're not alone, Efe. This could happen to any of us. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Uberlândia this morning. Take care
Thanks for sharing this, Efe. More neighborhoods should do this. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Nairobi.
