Pioneer Park needs a skate park - Easton's neighborhood project
Volunteers in London are raising $3,950 for a skate park at Pioneer Park.
🇬🇧 SE5 8TP, London, England, United Kingdom2,900 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,950.
It will serve about 119 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,950 goes:
• Materials: $3,000
• Permits and inspections: $260
• Safety equipment and signage: $370
• Tools hire and delivery: $320
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Take care, Easton. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 3 people at work.
sending strength, Easton. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Ikeja so I could bring a meal. God bless.
