Pioneer Park needs a community garden - Mitu's neighborhood project
A community-led a community garden at Pioneer Park that will serve 489 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 489 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $250 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Materials: $165
