Ruslan is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at Novosibirsk Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $400. The registrar has said Ruslan can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ruslan has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ruslan would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Ruslan isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Novosibirsk Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $400 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $30 • Textbooks and materials: $50 • Outstanding tuition balance: $320 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
