One semester away: help Rachel graduate from Pietermaritzburg State College
Rachel is one term away from finishing a nursing degree but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $950.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a nursing degree at Pietermaritzburg State College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $950.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $950 goes:
• Final term tuition: $470
• Outstanding tuition balance: $410
• Exam and lab fees: $70
Thanks for reading all this.

Thinking of you and your family, Rachel. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless
Take care. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Please keep us posted.
Shared this with my family. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Corpus Christi.
Sending strength. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
