Kyung-soo is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at the Seoul Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,600. The registrar has said Kyung-soo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Kyung-soo has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Kyung-soo would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Kyung-soo isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $2,600 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $980 • Final term tuition: $1,350 • Exam and lab fees: $150 • Textbooks and materials: $120 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
