Jimena is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at Coatzacoalcos State College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $800. The registrar has said Jimena can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Jimena has a top-ten-percent average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
