Omondi's final semester of a teaching qualification in Nakuru
A first-generation student, Omondi needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a teaching qualification.
🇰🇪 Kenya544 views
Omondi is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at the Nakuru Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $300.
The registrar has said Omondi can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Omondi has a 3.6 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Omondi would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Omondi isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $300 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $40
• Outstanding tuition balance: $220
• Textbooks and materials: $40
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
