My school-run minibus: Adewale's only way to earn a living
Without my school-run minibus Adewale can't work; a $100 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my school-run minibus. 7 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $100 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $35
• Towing and inspection: $15
• Labor charges: $50
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
Updates from Adewale
Good news. Because of your gifts ($90 in total) I made the first payment toward road tax and insurance renewal. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Small update. $45 so far, I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts.
