I make my living with my ride-share car. 12 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $250 goes: • transmission replacement (parts): $145 • Labor charges: $55 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $40 • Towing and inspection: $10 Every share and every dollar helps.

Updates from Andrei

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($99 in total) I made the first payment toward road tax and insurance renewal. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Update from Lviv: I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. We're at 28% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

Take care, Andrei. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
