I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at the Los Angeles Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,250. My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $7,250 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $6,500 • Fitting and training sessions: $160 • Delivery and set-up: $220 • First-year servicing plan: $370 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Yan

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. stair-climbing aid comes first ($6,500) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
