Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Marco in Bergamo
Help Marco get a stair-climbing aid so He can get to the shops and visit friends.
🇮🇹 Italy120 views
Marco lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at Bergamo General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,150.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Marco could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $2,700
• Fitting and training sessions: $140
• Delivery and set-up: $65
• First-year servicing plan: $245

Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Athens.
