Minh's final semester of an accounting degree in Hồ Chí Minh City
A first-generation student, Minh needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an accounting degree.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an accounting degree at Hồ Chí Minh City State College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $700.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $700 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $170
• Final term tuition: $450
• Exam and lab fees: $45
• Textbooks and materials: $35
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Stay strong, Minh. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Kampala
You're not alone. This could happen to any of us. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings.
Keep going. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 24 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Rajkot
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 39 people at work. All the best
