Malak's final semester of an agriculture degree in El Paso
Malak has worked and saved for four years to study an agriculture degree; a $2,200 gap now stands between her and graduation.

Malak is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an agriculture degree at El Paso University, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,200.
The registrar has said Malak can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Malak has a 3.9 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Malak would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Malak isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the El Paso University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $320
• Final term tuition: $1,500
• Exam and lab fees: $380
