Let's build a youth football pitch together in Nsukka

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $200, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 170 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $400 goes: • Permits and inspections: $30 • Tools hire and delivery: $75 • Materials: $295 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Festus
