Let's build a youth football pitch together in Mombasa
Volunteers in Mombasa are raising $450 for a youth football pitch at the Acacia health centre yard.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $90, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 92 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $320
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
