Let's build a youth football pitch together in Mecca

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Park, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,500. It will serve about 454 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,500 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $155 • Materials: $1,150 • Safety equipment and signage: $195 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Rasha
