Let's build a youth football pitch together in Manila
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Union health centre yard that will serve 329 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $185, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 329 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $300 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
• Materials: $195
