Let's build a youth football pitch together in Austin
A community-led a youth football pitch at Unity Park that will serve 497 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $3,000.
It will serve about 497 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $145
• Materials: $2,400
• Tools hire and delivery: $455
