Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Kadıköy
Volunteers in Kadıköy are raising $450 for a solar-powered water pump at Lotus Park.
Anywhere in the world428 views
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 81 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $290
• Permits and inspections: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
I hope life is good to you.

sending strength. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I'll check back for the next update.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Sinan.
Materials is $290 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for looking so closely.
wishing you the best. Shared it with a few friends. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Sending love, Sinan. This could happen to any of us. Greetings from Multan.
Keep going, Sinan. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
hope it all works out, Sinan. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Surrey.
