Let's build a skate park together in New Delhi
Volunteers in New Delhi are raising $200 for a skate park at the Freedom health centre yard.
🇮🇳 New Delhi, Delhi, India1,071 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $220, and the remaining cost is $200.
It will serve about 126 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $200 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
• Permits and inspections: $65
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Rooting for you, Subramanian. Looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to Mumbai so I could bring a meal. Love from Houston.
