Seville
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar community hall, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $500. It will serve about 176 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $500 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $90 • Tools hire and delivery: $330 • Permits and inspections: $80 Thank you so much.
