Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Mandurah
A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at Freedom Primary School that will serve 474 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,750.
It will serve about 474 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Materials: $2,050
• Permits and inspections: $350
• Safety equipment and signage: $350
