Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Utrecht
A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at the old Jacaranda bus depot that will serve 175 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Jacaranda bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $560, and the remaining cost is $3,350.
It will serve about 175 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,350 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $300
• Tools hire and delivery: $320
• Materials: $2,730
