Let's build a rainwater harvesting system together in Madrid
A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at Acacia Park that will serve 576 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,100.
It will serve about 576 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,100 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $95
• Tools hire and delivery: $280
• Materials: $1,725

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. permits and inspections is the biggest at $95. It helps to be asked.
