For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $600. It will serve about 583 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $600 goes: • Permits and inspections: $35 • Safety equipment and signage: $135 • Materials: $430 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Wishing you the best. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out.

You're not alone, Guilherme. Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in Gujranwala donated after I showed her your page. Love from Gujranwala
