Let's build a covered market stall space together in Townsville
Volunteers in Townsville are raising $2,900 for a covered market stall space at the old Pioneer bus depot.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Pioneer bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,900.
It will serve about 170 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Materials: $2,150
• Permits and inspections: $110
• Safety equipment and signage: $170
• Tools hire and delivery: $470
