Let's build a covered market stall space together in Rome

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $380, and the remaining cost is $2,000. It will serve about 257 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,000 goes: • Materials: $1,550 • Safety equipment and signage: $260 • Tools hire and delivery: $190 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
