Laxmi's final semester of a computer science degree in Bhaktapur

Laxmi is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a computer science degree at Bhaktapur Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $550. The registrar has said Laxmi can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Laxmi has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Laxmi would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Laxmi isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Bhaktapur Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $550 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $25 • Outstanding tuition balance: $320 • Final term tuition: $205 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
