Larissa needs a full set of tools to reopen a bicycle repair shop

Larissa has run a bicycle repair shop for four years; a break-in destroyed the equipment, and $500 will put it back on its feet.

For four years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Olinda. In August, a break-in took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $500 goes: • Shop repairs and licensing: $165 • Working capital for the first month: $120 • Initial stock: spare parts: $215 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Hope it all works out, Larissa. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Johannesburg.

Take care, Larissa. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best.
