Hyun-jun was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in July. The surgeon at Incheon General Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $4,500 short.
my husband has been in and out of Incheon General Hospital since July. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Hyun-jun struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Hyun-jun won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
