Landslide in San Fernando: help the families of Marketplace Lane rebuild
The landslide damaged 61 homes in the families of Marketplace Lane. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The landslide hit the families of Marketplace Lane on 1 July. My home was one of 61 damaged, and 6 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $600
• Clean water and purification supplies: $105
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $95
• Food parcels for displaced families: $220
• Tools and labor for repairs: $130

Keep going. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of San Fernando.
Stay strong, Jomar. This could happen to any of us. God bless
Praying for you, Jomar. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out.
wishing you the best, Jomar. I hope things turn around soon.
So sorry you're going through this, Jomar. This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care!
