Keep the water on at Rubén's home in Pittsburgh

The water account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on February unless I pay $700. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $195 first, which I don't have. I live with three children under ten, and going through summer without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $700 goes: • Heating arrears: $230 • Reconnection and late fees: $155 • Down payment on a payment plan: $315 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Sending strength. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Sent it to 24 people at work. Blessings.

    • Sending love, Rubén. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

      • Praying for you, Rubén. Shared this with my family. Take care.
