The gas account is 4 months behind. Luis received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on July unless $200 is paid. He had never been late before May's medical emergency.
Luis called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $40 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through the rainy season without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Luis is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Luis's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
