Keep the electricity on at Kaylee's home in San Diego
Help Kaylee cover an overdue electricity bill so the household stays safe this summer.
🇺🇸 California, United States797 views
The electricity account is 3 months behind. Kaylee received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless $800 is paid. She had never been late before my partner leaving the household.
Kaylee called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $125 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through summer without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Kaylee is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Kaylee's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $800 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $490
• Reconnection and late fees: $155
• Down payment on a payment plan: $155
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Updates from Dennis
Good news. Because of your gifts ($59 in total) I made the first payment toward down payment on a payment plan. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
